A beautiful, renovated farmhouse set among 30 carefully-tended acres of rolling fields and rainforest, yet only 12 minutes from the beach. Clearly-marked pathways cross the paddocks, snake through the gullies and weave around the three spring-fed dams. David Attenborough would have a field day: mobs of kangaroos, platypus and trout in the dam, parrots to feed and glow worms metres from the front door.

The house was built from local timber and has polished floorboards, a large kitchen and digital TV. It has a very homely feel and remains cool in summer, toasty warm in winter with a wood heater, reverse cycle heater and of course electric blankets. It sits in a mature garden, bursting with flowers and shrubs. Situated in Lavers Hill, Arlington is a short drive from Johanna and offers a library, luggage storage and a garden. It is conveniently located for guests wishing to visit local attractions. Lodgings at the vacation rental are comfortable and provide a kitchenette, a microwave and a DVD player.
