We bought these kennels in 2005, which at that time were called Kenar Park Boarding Kennels. We decided to update the brand look and name in Feb 2007, and decided on Brighton Park Boarding Kennels and we added the cattery! We have completed many improvements on this property since purchase, including expanding the kennel areas, increasing the amount of exercise yards, installing play equipment and shade sails, heaps of gardening, and of course building a whole new cattery for our feline friends and your convenience.

Rod is an accredited ANKC Herding judge and has completed his Certificate in Animal Care and RUV98 Veterinary Nursing Training Package. We are both members of the RSPCA and Pet Industry Association of Australia(PIAA), and abide by rules and conditions in relation to codes of conduct for care of your pets.

We have been heavily involved with animals of all types for all of our lives, and bought our first pet, a gorgeous black cat called Gomez, together approx 20 years ago. Since that time we have been involved in showing, herding and breeding of Australian Cattle Dogs and Australian Kelpies. We currently have 14 Australian Champions, and 5 of our dogs with herding titles. Tania has also recently entered her first cat shows with Badger her big Maine Coon.

On our 28 acre property you will see our chickens free roaming, which brings great delight to many dogs being dropped off! We have our two gorgeous horses, Roy & Voodelle, always leaning over the fences ready for a pat, and a couple of cats, Tia & Badger ready to give your legs a rub, not to mention the cheeky cattle dogs and kelpies we share our home with.

We aim to give you peace of mind in relation to the care of your VIP while you are away, and give them an enjoyable experience they will want to come back for. It should be their "home away from home".
